Saw the midnight showing of Harry Potter 6 and holy shitttttt.

That movie DEFINITELY made up for the book. The sixth book really bored me for some reason (as did the fourth), but the movie for this one was awesome. It was a little cramped though, and cut out pretty much everything school-related (though the book was kind of like that, too). Relationship angst was a little bleh but they managed to balance it with friendship stuff (Harry comforting Hermione and vice versa = win) AND BELLATRIX BLACK YOU SEXY BEAST.

I wanted to dress up but I came right from work, so yea. Did not happen.

But I was very impressed. And now I'm sad, just as I always am after coming from a big Harry Potter event. Whatever I had with that fandom isn't something I'm ever going to feel again, and lame as it sounds, I feel like I lost something. That and the older I get, the less likely it is that my life will ever be anything but mediocre and seriously fucking boring. Hell I lost my chance to go to Hogwarts 12 years ago. I'm slowly being killed by nostalgia for something I never even had.

Sooo AnimeBoston. Went all day Friday and about half of Saturday. I got in so early and didn't have to wait in line really, which was nice compared to last year.

Went through dealers room TWICE Friday and again on Saturday. Couple of Gundam 00 things here and there, but not much. Someone had the petit props from second season, but I have most of them so I didn't bother. There was a shop that had a lot of things available for pre-order on the Gundam comm, soo. Yea. This is the haul, but it's not much.

But in all, I guess both my fandoms are so obscure it's not funny. There were 2 Allelujahs, 1 Tieria, 1 Ribbons, 1 Regene, 2 Lockons, 1 young Alle, and 1 young Lockon. And moi as Sumeragi (technically as Lisa Kujo). That's all I saw in 2 days walking around anyway. And no Togainu characters at all. When it came to the dealers room and the artists' alley, there was almost nothing for G00 and nothing at all for TnC. I tore all the doujinshi sellers apart and all I found was one Lamento doujin, which I bought out of bitterness. But come on, one is a GUNDAM SERIES FOR GOD'S SAKE and the other is a yaoi game. Why the hell doesn't anyone have anything for them?

IS ANYONE ON MY FLIST GOING TO ANIME-EXPO IN JULY?

I want to go but need a room-mate or 2 or 3.

Been MIA the last few days because I had to buy a new AC power adaptor for my computer and by the time I realized this on Wednesday, I was at 21% battery. So I had to shut it down until I could get a new one today FREE UNDER WARRANTEE so that was exciting.

Shitload of emails and PMs and comments to catch up on because I've been being lazy lately anyway, so sorry if it takes me a little while to get back to you.

Other than that, do I have anything to say? No. Life is boring as hell and I miss Gundam.

I can't embed these ones but HALLELUJAH IN ENGLISH. Episode 11 dubbed. I laughed. Only a couple of real differences I noticed in the dub though, so not bad. But his voiceeeee.

Rewatching season one makes me cry. Seriously. Why am I so wrapped up in this show?

Not spoiler, but I'm still trying to figure out which Meister will likely die in this season. I was just assuming it would be Tieria all along, but now I'm thinking it might ALSO be Setsuna.

In the ending credits, they show Lyle and Anew (? behind the curtain, which means she will probably die), Allelujah and Marie, Saji and Louise, Tieria and the Innovators, and....Marina shielding children from a huge explosion in the sky. The way it was framed really makes me think he might die, as well. WHAT IF IT WAS 00? That and the last two lines of the song really don't bode well for him.

Oh yea, in case it wasn't obvious, HIATUS. I was on it all last week, too. Finals. And all my professors pulled the "OH SHIT IT'S THE END OF THE SEMESTER AND I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH GRADES. HERE, KIDS, HAVE SOME TERM PAPERS." Isn't the point of a term paper that you have, uhm, time to work on it? NOT A FRIGGIN FOUR DAYS!?

That and I have a ridiculous sinus infection. I missed all of last week except one day, so I don't even know what I'm supposed to be writing these papers on. And because of the huge ice storm that hit the other night, most of Massachusetts is out of power and I can't get my prescription filled for.....3-5 days, because that's how long they're predicting it will be before the power is back on. WHAT THE FUCK I HAVE A PAPER PRESCRIPTION FROM THE DOCTOR CAN'T YOU FILL THE DAMN THING? Which means I can't get my antibiotics. And I can't get my asthma medications. Which means if I don't end up in the friggin hospital before then, I'm going to be feverish and puking while trying to take my finals.

I have never felt so royally fucked over school before. I'm working 8 hours tomorrow, and I have to somehow get a ride to the school and spend at LEAST 4-5 hours there doing research (I need to read a certain number of critical essays and they can't be taken from the library) and catching up on notes (had a friend tape the lectures) for this paper due Monday. Oh yea, then I have to write the damn thing Sunday AS WELL AS study for my final that day. My parents don't want to drive me, but if I don't get up there, I am definitely going to fail this paper. And likely the whole class, since that's pretty much half my grade.

My school, being as lame as it is, has no allowances whatsoever. If I fail one class, I have to drop out. There are no alternative classes and the required ones run on a 2-year cycle, so I can't retake it the next semester.

Gundam better be damn good tomorrow. Because if anything happens to Alle/Halle, I may just kill myself. ._.

I really hate to do this to my own FList but I need money for Christmas gifts. And my work is not giving it to me. I'm just getting negative hours.

Sorry for falling off the face of the earth, everyone. Last week was due to school and sickness.

AND MY COMPUTER MET AN UNTIMELY DEMISE WHILE DOWNLOADING GUNDAM SUNDAY NIGHT.

At the end of every week, I transfer any new material on my comp. to my external, and while I was doing, this my laptop's battery decided to totally die. (at 86% mind you). So IT DIED. AND MY EXTERNAL DIED because it was interrupted during a transfer and the computer had shut down, ejecting it incorrectly. So every time I plugged it into a computer, it wouldn't show up on the dock or acknowledge it at all.

I was actually more freaked out about that because it has everything on it. My computer is very small (50G), so there are a lot of things on the external that aren't on the computer. It wasn't even really a backup.

I called my sister's fiance up screaming hysterically and he came over Sunday night and did all kinds of crazy-computer things and somehow recovered the files from my hard drive. So that works, though it's very sloooow. He also brought me a 300G external that he had just sitting around (he works with computers), and he said I could have it to be a real backup, now with everything in at least 2 places. My sister also sent over her old Macbook so I could at least do my homework for the week until mine got fixed.

As it stands, my laptop IS now functioning again, but it needs to be plugged in at all times because the battery gauge says whatever it wants and the thing lasts maybe 4 minutes now. And I'm kind of afraid to use it. I'm taking it to the MAC DOCTORS!!! Friday to have them look at it. John said it's probably just the battery, but I should have someone examine it anyway because it does like to shut off randomly, even with a supposedly high battery (and if it's just the gauge that's screwed up, well, they have to fix that, too).

I'M SURE THAT WAS ALL VERY EXCITING FOR YOU. But yea. I missed the new Gundam. Because when I was downloading it, it ate my computer. I have to find a new place to download the file because I'm afraid that somehow had something to do with it.

Be back regularly when everything is more stable. Hopefully this weekend, but if I have to send my computer away, it may be another week. ._.

I really should use my journal for something other than spazzing out and bitching about things. But, well, eh. I know I haven't responded to comments from my last two posts and I apologize for it. I just felt weird saying "thanks. <3" to everyone. My friend did come over to NH/MA last weekend and I spent some time with her. She's doing okay, as okay as she can be doing anyway. And I gave her all of your condolences.

Nabari No Ou's is officially out of fansubbers now. After nineteen fucking episodes, we lose the series. AND IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN LICENSED OVER HERE. Sucks either way, but at least if it was, we could possibly get the last seven years in, oh, what, a year and a half?

NnO is the only anime I'm even watching this season because everything else either ended or totally sucks. And now I might not even be able to watch that. If a series isn't even licensed, I don't know why the hell they have to be pulling all these cease-and-desists out of their asses.

And no, I don't find it odd that I support fansubs, hate C&Ds, and still get pissed when companies drop my favorite titles. Tokyopop is suffering financial difficulties because 75% of what they publish totally SUCKS. Some sort of discrimination is required as a publisher. I sincerely doubt that manga and anime companies are going out of business because of scanlations and fansubs.

If anything, they should take advantage of them. Watch which series pick up multiple fansubbers/scanlaters and are downloaded en masse. Pay attention to what series collect fandoms. If it sells in Japan and if kids worldwide are clamoring to download it the second it comes out in English online, chances are it will sell here. Why should WE suffer because THEY waste their resources publishing total shit?

PS for fun - Someone called the store where I work yesterday. They were asking for a specific brand of socks. I asked him if he was aware of the fact that we were a BOOKSTORE. He said yes. OH MY GOD WHYYYYYYYYYYY. Too bad he didn't ask for lady's panties, because we found a pair of those on the floor today. AGAIN, WHYYYYYYYY!!??? TIERIA HATES YOUR CLOTHES, BUT DON'T TAKE THEM OFF IN PUBLIC.

Uhm, no surprise to anyone, but I'll be hiatusing on and off for a while right now.

So impossibly bored with life that I'm just sleeping every hour I'm not at work. (no, not bored with LJ and fandom, which is ever-amazing, but just BORED). I'm not ignoring you guys. I still <3 you all, especially some of you.

Also still having massive anxiety about what I'm going to do with my life. I think I've decided. But that doesn't mean anything because, well, I've "decided" ten times this last year. Then again, what I want to do now is what I wanted to do when I first started college, so many there is a reason for this nagging interest.
