I finished this morning. Read 700 pages in one sitting, then realized how almost-over it was, then wandered around house being jittery and sad until work. I could have finished it all then but.... Well, I went into work first, then returned to finish it.

And it is all so strangely peaceful now. It seemed much of the ending was what we predicted years ago, which was a bit disappointing. But then again, if she were to try and add all sorts of new things in right at the end like many authors do, it would have fallen apart entirely. I don't know. There were a lot of things in it that bothered me, but all in all I liked it....At any rate.

Last night was fucking fantastic.

Through extraordinary luck, I landed K, Sarah, and I a job unloading the boxes at a store. Got my copy at 11:38 PM. Likely first copy sold in Harvard Square? Course, I bought the Deluxe edition and it remained wrapped up until I got home, but still...

Will write large post on it later. I, of course, lost the USB cable and I can't upload my photos. My last-minute Bellatrix worked out very well. Most everyone knew who I was, which surprised me, given my absurd liberties with make-up. It's just such a strange happy feeling to be walking through a crowd dressed as a certain character and have people yelling out your character's name. I am never spending more than 20 minutes on a costume again (except the Isaak).

PS I most definitely did get my photo taken (as Bella) with a large black dog. Who rather ruined the Dark Undertones by proceeding to lick me.
