Here's chapter 12! Very much a stand-alone.

It was the Christmas chapter, but I didn't get it out in time, and once Christmas came and went, I didn' t feel like finishing it. But now it's done, and next they go on spring vacation. Di's first time leaving the country, so a bit of chaos ensues, especially when they run into William. Things will start picking up around now, as the "family" has now been established.

It's rated PG. I think Cain always warrants at least a PG. Pretty straight-forward. Di's birthday is Christmas, and he demands to celebrate it. Isaak is uncomfortable about the religious implications, while Cain decides to let the boy join the Orden. But Dietrich has a surprise of his own for Isaak (which I realize sounds dirty, but it's not).

So finally finished the term papers. Have one shorter paper on Paradise Lost due Monday...finals Thursday and Friday. Then I'm done for a month. Anyway, I would have had this up yesterday but I got snowed in at the school. Meh. Thanks to everyone for wishing me luck on my papers, and for clicking on my links so I could get more downloads.

Anyway, once I actually get out of school, I have a few half-finished things I should be able to complete. Isaak booklist 3, my (fanonized) timeline, that damn Isaak x Caterina fic, an idiotic Radu-bashing Radu x Dietrich, and some half-formed ideas that have nothing written down yet. Now I have to catch up on my FList before I disappear again for another five days.

Rated R this time around. Cain x Isaak smex scene at the end (which I have as a stand-alone somewhere in my LJ actually) and some general Isaak x Dietrich awkwardness as their relationship gets...more in-depth? XD <-pervert. It's starting to get Di-zaak-ish.

By the way, I am in a half-assed hiatus until December 21st when the semester ends. Which means other than updating this (I already have more chapters written that just need minor editing), I probably will only have one or two fics up until then.

The Devil's Harlot Chapters 8 and 9... Don't have a whole lot to say at the moment. Term papers are running me over at the moment and I feel rather dead. XD Chapter 8 is mostly a collection of Isaak-as-father moments as he tries to deal with his paternal feelings and his increasing jealousy over Dietrich's abilities. Chapter 9 is the one where Cain finally makes his entrance. He gives Dietrich his name (part of which was a vignette I posted up here over the summer) and then drags Isaak out into the hall for some awkward/obscene behavior, beyond the eyes of their kid. So this part is more Cain x Isaak than anything, and is therefore PG15.

I'm almost done with part 1, which is exciting. It was originally 11 chapters, but I may add in another one....so there will probably be three more chapters before part 2. And in part 2, things start getting a lot more complicated. I'll actually start going more into Isaak's past at that point, though I am starting to hint at matters here, and their relationship deepens, and the RCO really begins getting underway. But that will all happen AFTER this semester ends.

It is vacation this week. Which means I had all sorts of work planned out, but in reality I'm sitting around doing absolutely nothing except maybe trying to find SOMETHING that came out this anime season that's worth watching oh wait I'm already downloading three different shows aw hell damn ksehyigl..

I have a fic for now. It's around 1700 words-ish, Cain POV (because we all love short sentences). I try to keep contractions out of Cain POV fics, but I got lazy this time around, so there may be few scattered throughout. And no, I do not know if Cain is naked here. Probably, seeing as he's been hanging out in the heath for nine centuries. I just didn't want to say so in the fic because it, erm, makes for an awkward mental image? But knowing my F-List, you'll all assume he's nekkie anyway. Oh yea, this is rated T for ridiculous sacrilege. That's about it, really...though it's meant to have weird undertones. (are they sexual enough? Cain's annoying to write, but all Isaakfic must have sexual undertones, right?) I crammed a LOT of stuff into this fic. Meh. And he's around twenty-one here. This takes place a few years before Dietrich even enters the scene, so Isaak is pretty damn young.

A young, lost, and devastated Isaak runs into Cain for the first time, and an indelible mark is made upon him as he is christened the Panzer Magier.

And you know, I really like the way the naming came out. Not necessarily the whole fic, but I do like the naming "ceremony", and why Cain calls him the Panzer Magier. XD I just wish I had thought of it, oh, eleven months ago? HOLY CRAP. It is almost a year now since I started TB fic! That's exciting.

Wrote this little bit earlier today:

"So I accidently deleted over 200 photos of Boston at night and Cape Cod. SHIT. I forgot to empty my camara before I went to Canterbury yesterday, but I really thought I had already put the photos on my computer, so I just manually deleted them.

...And they weren't on my computer. shit shit shit fuck damn shit. All the Cape Cod graveyard photos came out awesome and I lost them all. WHY AM I SO FRICKING STUPID? I deleted them to take photos of sheep and fog and htu4iwut e;lfket 2iu4jv l gjr e;io4. For crying out loud I'd sit there and take 40 pictures of the same damn tree at different angles because I THOUGHT I HAD THE SPACE. But does Aerin check these things first? Does Aerin take the precaution to empty her camara onto her computer BEFORE she goes somewhere where she knows she'll take 200 photos? No. Aerin's a moron. <-completely enraged at herself.

Oh I AM SO ANGRY. I deleted some of the best photos I've ever taken. Photos of old New England graveyards are my little obsession. AHHHHHHH!

And this was the result...okay, so it isn't quite pr0n, but I am rather fond of it to be honest.

Cain is trying to understand the attraction in Dietrich. The beginning of the hatred and wariness between them. References to Cain x Isaak, Cain x Dietrich, and Isaak x Dietrich, but it's more just...weird. With hints of Isaak retribution if you can find them.
PG13ish for implications. The whole fic is an implication. Approx. 400 words.
